Locally owned since 2016

We built the place we wished existed for our own dogs.

Pacific Paws started in 2016 with one rescue named Maple, a converted warehouse on Rosecrans Street, and a simple belief: dogs deserve more than a wire cage and a quick walk. Today we're Point Loma's home away from home for thousands of San Diego dogs.

Everything we do is built around two ideas β€” keep dogs safe, and keep them genuinely happy. That means cage-free suites, small temperament-matched play groups, certified handlers who stay in the room, and the kind of daily updates that let you actually relax while you're away.

What we stand for

Six promises we make to every dog and every family.

Cage-free, always

Real beds in private suites β€” never stacked kennels. Every dog gets room to stretch out and rest.

Eyes on, all day

Trained handlers stay inside the play groups, and our overnight team lives on-site every night.

Matched, not mixed

Dogs play in small groups sorted by size, age, and play style β€” so everyone has a good time.

You stay in the loop

Daily photo texts, report cards, and live webcams mean you never have to wonder.

Safety first

Fear-Free and Pet First Aid certified staff, vaccine verification, and a vet on call 24/7.

Rooted in Point Loma

Locally owned since 2016. We know the neighborhood, the trails, and your dog by name.

Meet the humans

Certified, dog-obsessed, and here every day.
